Account information: When you register, we store your username and a hashed password in our database. We do not store plain-text passwords.

Watch history: We record which episodes you watch, your playback position, and timestamps to power the "Continue Watching" feature and personalized recommendations. This data is stored locally on our server and is tied to your account. We derive aggregate statistics from this data — such as total watch time — which are displayed on your account page for your own reference only.

Watchlist and downloads: Items you add to your watchlist or queue for download are stored server-side and linked to your account.

Settings: Your preferences (e.g., auto-skip, quality) are stored locally in your browser's localStorage and are not sent to our servers.

• To authenticate you and maintain your session.
• To display your watch history and provide a "Continue Watching" experience.
• To generate personalized recommendations based on what you watch.
• To manage your watchlist and download queue.

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to any third party.

Anixy uses the following third-party services:

• Jikan (MyAnimeList API) — Used to fetch anime metadata, cover images, and genre data. No personal information is shared with this service.
• AniSkip API — Used to detect intro and outro timestamps for episodes. No personal information is shared.
• Streaming providers — The player loads video streams from third-party CDNs. Your IP address may be visible to these providers as part of standard HTTP requests.

All account data is stored in a local SQLite database on our server. We use industry-standard password hashing and signed session tokens (via NextAuth.js). We do not transmit your data to external analytics platforms or tracking services.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your watch history at any time from the Account page. If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data, contact us at [email protected].

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.

We use a single session cookie set by NextAuth.js to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used. You can clear this cookie at any time by signing out or clearing your browser cookies.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
